NOON MEALS SCHEME

Even after providing all these facilities, the trust felt that something great is still amiss among the students; something was still holding them back in making giant leaps and strides in their scholastic activities; further enquiries revealed that the noon-meal, though in vogue in all most all the schools had many defects and deficiencies which necessitated thorough revamping of the entire culinary system; Adequate supply of potable water was ensured; Kitchens and dining halls were totally renovated or newly constructed; Adequate sets of Kitchenware and utensils were provided to cater for the revamped and enlarged noon-meal scheme; qualified professional cooks were engaged, efficiently managed and supervised by catering committees which includes the head of the institution also; fire wood was replaced with cooking gas, thus reducing human labour, cooking time and also ensuring cleaner and hygienic cuisine premises. Stringent quality control was ensured by requesting the teachers of the respective schools also to take food from these canteens.

Apart from streamlining the entire system, the Trust had another nobler objective in the above arrangements: by providing an opportunity for hundreds of students to sit and dine together under one roof, a sense of equality and fraternal attachment is inculcated in their minds; by insisting that the food be served by the teachers themselves, the students enjoy the maternal care; a feeling of being at home away from home.
